If you follow domestic road racing at all then no doubt you’ll have seen the Madison Genesis team at the head of the field! Now in their fourth season, the iconic blue and orange colours have gained quite a reputation and following across the country.
Most recently we were glued to the TV after work to watch Madison Genesis compete in the thrilling rounds of the 2017 Tour Series – an epic criterium series travelling from town-to-town for some city-centre, cobbled climbs and close barrier action. 10 rounds, two individual wins, four team wins and second overall – not a bad few weeks, and that was off the back of their most successful Tour de Yorkshire showing.
Take a look at the Genesis Zero in its current guise and you’ll notice a fair few changes from the initial concept. Now made from 30/40-ton high-modulus uni-directional carbon fibre, the Zero frame comfortably breaks the 1kg-barrier and the large Kamm-tail downtube ensures a stiff pedalling platform but more significantly provides an aerodynamic advantage without compromising comfort.
The fork has had a face lift too to drop weight and reduce road chatter and when built up with the latest Shimano and PRO components the full bike weight comes in at a grand total of… (drum roll please) 7.2KG.
The Zero has without doubt proven itself at the very highest level of racing and has cemented itself as a supreme summer steed capable for all day epics and race day blasts. This year we’re incredibly pleased to be able to offer a disc-equipped version as well – the perfect choice for roadies that want the latest technology.
